Arab world, wave of protests
The rebellions in Tunisia and Egypt have sparked a temporal militancy in young
people of the Arab world. Some may ask why refer to it as “temporal militancy”
rather a revolution? The answer is simple: a revolution has a program, a plan
of action, and a leadership that will coordinate long and short term processes
and see to it that revolutionarists do not deviate from such processes. The
leadership will be the one that takes over the reign of leadership should there
be a successful revolution, whether it was achieved at an immediate period or
after a long process. And this rebellion lacks revolutionary credence in all
sense as we all know who is in leadership in those two countries right now.
In the case of Tunisia, those who were part of Zine El Ben Ali cabinet and
parliament, are still part of the core of governance. Ben Ali’s post is
occupied by his Prime Minister Mohamed Ghannouch and the US is happy with
developments in Tunisia. Why? US Assistant Secretary of State Jeff Feltman
believes the current Tunisian government “has made encouraging statements and
has taken some good steps regarding the need for elections, for greater
openness, for significant reforms”
One important aspect of Afrikan politics is that; when the people on the ground
are fed up with a government and protest against it, USA looks for their
suitable replacements in that country and if they find one within the existing
structure , they start preaching to the whole world that the country is indeed
in a right track of progress putting aside the real feelings of the people.
In Egypt, Field Marshall Mohamed Hussein Tantawi a military man who once served
with Hosni Mubarak and Omar Suleiman (Mubarak Vice President) is the incumbent
President (acting) and that confirms that Mubarak’s USA and Israel programs
have been handed to his (Mubarak) students. It is well known that top CIA and
Mossad spies orchestrated the rebellions, and by using Facebook it became a
reality. But questions will always remain with the people of Egypt since they
have vacated Tahrir Square. What next? Was their sweat and blood in vain?
Because Egypt’s rebellion had no leadership; the USA and Israel have prepared
Mohamed El Baradei to take over leadership, but at this moment they have
adopted a wait and see approach.
One thing to note is the fact that, Hosni Mubarak and Ben Ali were stooges of
the US, but their replacements are as guilty as they are, therefore the people
of this countries must boot them out.
Where are ECOWAS and AU agents of imperialism now? They were too loud on
Laurent Gbagbo of Cote d’Ivoire and too quite on what is happening in Tunisia
and Egypt. Are they only spewing democracy when they are given orders to do so?
People of Tunisia want a government elected by them, not installed by
outsiders. Why not take arms and assist them as they purported to do so with
Gbagbo, instead of looking at his (Gbagbo) claims about election irregularities
they were so keen on ousting him militarily.
On the other hand the wave is now heading to Libya and Iran as it is where the
US wants it to be. They will not rest until Muamar Ghadaffi and Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad are out of office either by force or voluntary.
On SADC politics
Swaziland
As PAYCO of Azania we fully believe the people of Swaziland must stage a
serious revolution and oust King Mswati as he is not amenable to political
reform. The Economy of Swaziland has collapsed, and the Educational system is
so expensive to such an extent we view it as an organized bondage to the Ngwane
people. Why is Mswati selling primary and secondary education to a nation which
is amongst the poorest in the world?
Botswana
The Racist Botswana (Government) has been failing to adhere to a court ruling
which gave the Khoi and San community a right to access water on their
ancestral land which has been turned into Game Reserve. We need to expose to
daylight the fact that Botswana is a military state, it is for this reasons
that they have become enemies of Khoi and San people because they want
everything to be about themselves, as a tribal group, rather than society.
Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe sanctions must be lifted with immediate effect as it affects ordinary
Zimbabweans more than those who are targeted as it is claimed. Germany, France,
Russia, and some EU members (as per Wikileaks revelations) are not in unison
with Britain, US, New Zealand and Australia over sanctions imposed on Zimbabwe.
China is on record calling for these sanctions to be scrapped completely. Even
their puppet political party, MDC-T is also no longer in favor of sanctions,
why therefore the EU adds another year on top of the devastation the Zimbabwean
people have endured. To claim that 35 people have been removed from the
economic and travel bans is a joke as no individual or a country of EU member
state will ever do business with Zimbabwe whilst laws such as ZDERA in the US
and other draconian laws in the UK are still in place.
Azania
The Mpumalanga service delivery and local government elections wave of
protests, is a result of the ANC failure to adhere to people aspirations,
commands and demands. When we question their failures we are labeled counter
revolutionary or toilet revolutionaries. They fail to understand that societal
problems with the current electoral system (does it provide democracy and
freedom, and what democracy and freedom means to ordinary Azanians in Azania)
provides a platform where by people fail to access basic needs, because the
people in leadership are elected by caucuses, and not by the community. These
imposed candidates are detested in communities because they are not supported
by the people but instead by a group of individuals who serves their masters
correctly. This kind of a system is what makes Jacob Zuma to be overconfidence
in relation to the protests, that it will yield no results that will not be in
favor to the ANC; meaning people may take their
fury over to the streets, but they will remain with the ANC. It is high time
such thoughts are quashed through people’s decisive actions.
On the other hand, the masses need to learn that the problem in government is
not with individuals, who are government, as it is normally claimed but the ANC
and its policies since 1955, when the Freedom Charter was adopted and made a
leading document of the ANC struggle. The ANC is never for the people’s side
and it will never be. People must take note that structures like SANCO, ANCYL,
COSATU and SACP are there to contain their thinking. Similarly, truck drivers
and municipal workers must should also be aware that SATAWU and SAMWU will
never be true agents of change due to their family blood-relations with COSATU.
The attack on the media during community protests is a clear sign that the
people are sick and tired of biased media reporting. Why use live bullets on
unarmed protesters in this day and age?
We highly condemn attacks on our Afrikan brothers from Somali, Ethiopia,
Zimbabwe and Nigeria taking place in Mpumalanga because there is no connection
between these entrepreneurs and service delivery and electioneering process.
Afrikan Unity will only be a reality the moment we cease to worship our ethnic
cultures and stereotypes and start building an Afrikan nation that believes in
uniform set of goals and ambitions!
