Greetings all, An email hereunder was sent yesterday evening and doesn’t seem to have gone through and thus I’m resending it accordingly:
From: Sebenzile Mlaza [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 05 April 2011 11:04 PM To: [email protected] Cc: Sebenzile Mlaza Subject: re: This hackneyed and boring excogitation I seem to be a perpetual recipient from my large pool of pseudointellectual friends of the following email: “This year we are going to experience four unusual dates – 1/1/11, 1/11/11, 11/1/11, 11/11/11 and that’s not all. Take the last two digits of your year of birth – now add the age you will be this year, and the result will be 111 for everyone! This is the year of money! This year October will have 5 Sundays, 5 Mondays, and 5 Saturdays. This happens only every 823 years. These particular years are known as ‘Moneybags’ the proverb goes that if you send this to eight good friends, money will appear in the next four days as is explained in Chinese feng-shui. Those who don’t continue the chain won’t receive, it’s a mystery, but it’s worth a try. Good luck.” Hereunder is my answer to my friends: This hackneyed and boring excogitation: I am not discounting anything postulated and hypothesized in this email, not even by modicum. Interesting that you mention FENG-SHUI meaning energy, longevity, prosperity , wealth, and inspite of the well excogitated 823 years, those years seemed to have bypassed us and the Chinese who were oppressed by the Japanese for more than five centuries and us the English and the bloody Boers took turns oppressing us for more than three centuries – OH! AFRIKA MY BEGINNING, AFRIKA MY ENDING! Talking 111 will be time and intellectually consuming, I would ask according to which calendar? Julian? Gregorian? Hebraic? Persian? Jewish civil or religious calendars? That answers 5 Sundays, Mondays and Saturdays, right? Never were moneybags for us, fathers, grandfathers, great-grandfathers since paleface pitched on our land and pinched it. With due respect, if you have a good dictionary look up for “SOPHISM.” Don’t break this chain, pass this to 2 111 closest friends.
