Sons and Daughters of the soil I appreciate the comprehensions some comrades display on and about the process the General Gerald Khondlo Branch has started. But to arrest misconceptions and general doubts, I intend to make a few lines and to capture our rationale at a conceptual level. Few incidentations may perhaps be becessary to make our rationale even more clearer or colourful to say the least.
The document on PAC HR capabilities is born out of the conceptual yet political document titled "APPROACH TO PARTY LEADERSHIP DEBATE - A DISCUSSION DOCUMENT". The document amongst many other issues it addresses, cites the importance of the approach and design concepts the party and its cadership should endorse to come to a point of pin-pointing politically abled bodies for specific leadership positions. The said approach concepts must inform generic methodology and system we must follow to come to party leadership. Within the framework of this approach design concepts must be formulated to support and give practical effect to this approach. The premise of the approach highlights few critical issues, issues of strategic importance to be precise. These are: a. That there is a political landscape which is a strategic playground for all political actors and or revolutionary forces b. Everything does not happen in a vacuum but in this playground c. The landscape puts certain demands to any actor, being the total sum, a conceptual account of the aspirations & expectations of the African people and the broader electorate. General Gerald Khondlo Branch has translated this into programmes. A short synopsis of the approach concept emphasises the following few issues i.e "Appraoch concepts" a) We need a collective leadership b) We must take stalk of our capability profile c) Strive towards unity ( the Pokela Approach) d) Field appropriate capabilites to achieve proportionality between a programme (s) and people e) Strive towards complimentarity of our human resource capabilities to produce an integrated goal structrure We then have to ask ourselves how do we give practical effect to these approach concepts. Our answer reflects or gives an account of design concepts. The second document by Cde Manelisi the chairperson is but the beginning of a zeallous effort by our branch to give practical effect to our approach. A lot of effort has been and is being done by PAC cadership well beyond Khondlo Branch within the spirit of the document. The process we intend following then is: Listing the PAC HR profile for which all are invited to contribute optimally and objectively. Everything Ma-Afrika is above board, there are no secrets and if is there is one, it is the PAC emerging as a winner. The Chairperson, Cde Manelisi has already invited you to do whatever it takes to add value to the process. We need information about virtually all the listed incumbents so that we are able to profile our capabilites for leadership as champions of programmes. It is only then that Khondlo will pronounce itself positively on its desired lineout. Indellible, this process will inform the lineout of our branch and we wish that every other branch will follow suit both as individuals and structures. We need a car to drive in landward space, an airoplane to fly our air space and a ship to sail at sea. A car will never fly nor sail. If we force it to, it can only sink and disappoint us but can't do otherwise. Yours in struggle TT Xundu (Member - Gen.
