The Hugo Chavez International Foundation for Peace, Friendship and Solidarity (HCI-FPFS) wishes to extend warm congratulations to Mr. Francois Hollande, on his decisive victory in France's just-ended run-off presidential elections, held on 6 May, 2012. May 6, 2012 undoubtedly would go down in the annals of France history as the day the people of France exhibited their wisdom and values in their total rejection of racism, militarism and hostile behaviours against Africa and blacks everywhere. The election victory of Mr. Francois Hollande came at a time France needs to rebrand its image on how the country (France) flexes its military and diplomatic muscle around the world. May 6, 2012 is a day to remember and celebrate the defeat of Fascism in France. We commend all French people who stood with Mr. Hollande at the polls, and election results was not only a great triumph for progressive politics, but have also reinforced the moral argument that Mr. Hollande’s candidacy was guided by humility and a well-articulated vision for France, Europe and the global village. It is the Foundation’s belief that the people of France made no mistake and have elected a man of great integrity to lead them. We have no doubt that Mr. Francois Hollande will prove to be the most inspirational President of France yet. His steadfast commitment to ordinary people and in championing the rights of the dehumanized is truly powerful. The Hugo Chavez International Foundation recognizes that Mr. Francois Hollande is equal to the task of rebranding France’s image by ending all hostile behaviours against Africa and black people.
