Comrade Sbusiso Xaba, Let me reiterate that the only realistic way to implement socialism in Africa, is the Nkrumahist way. By that I mean we need to study our own African history, especially in the modern era. And when we study the political history of Africa since Independence, we cannot avoid the fact that Nkrumah led Africa to Freedom and Independence. Therefore, the ONLY correct and scientific way to proceed is to star our study with a thorough study and analysis of Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah's works. Under Osageyfo's model in Ghana, no effort was ever made to destroy existing traditional African institutions and replace them with alien and imported European or Asian models. The fight for Independence was a fight for the Empowerment of the Chiefs and People of Ghana and of Africa. Qaddafi has shown us how to Unify Africa, for example, by showing us how to Assemble the Kings of Africa. The Assembly of the Kings of Africa is actually more powerful than the AU. And it has more authority and legitimacy than the AU or any other African institution. Furthermore, in the last election Campaign of the Convention People's Party in Ghana, we were very happy and proud to have one of Ghana's queen abdicate her throne in order to stand for Vice President of the Republic. Our kings and queens and all of our traditional structures and African. And the best of these are proven and true African patriots. On the other hand, however, when we review modern African history we discover experiments in which attempts have been made to superimpose alien structures on African society to disastrous results. Ethiopia is the worse example. There a bunch of thugs imposed so-called Marxism-Leninist ideology through fascist dictatorship. Of course this meant a direct war against pan-Africanism. And that us what they did. the slaughtered their own Ethiopian People's Revolutionary Party, their own traditional emperor, and a huge percentage of their own Muslim population. This is known in history as the Ethiopian Red Terror. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Terror_(Ethiopia) And of course while the west gives lip service against all that, they in fact wholeheartedly approve of it. We know they approve of it not only because none of those criminals have ever been prosecuted for their crimes, but the western imperialists are the strongest supporters of the current thugs who rule Ethiopia. In fact, if we take a clear and critical look at the situation, we see that the west is financing those thugs to make war against neighboring Somalia and their own Somali and Muslim populations. This is why no government has been able to form in Somalia in over 22 years, since the last Pan-Africanist government was kicked out by the imperialists, the well-known liberal KKKlinton Gang to be exact. Many, many Somalis have been subjected to famine and starvation. And the Somali nation has been scattered around the world. There has been constant war and conflict in the Horn of Africa ever since. Speaking of which, we will notice similar patterns in Tanzania. There, the idiotic government imposed Soviet style agricultural reform. They displaced traditional structures and brought in "collective farms". What "collective farms" means in actually practice is they turned the land over to big Canadian agricultural corporations. In words, they put the small farms into a big package and gave them to our own enemy, the western imperialists. And they told us that that is "African socialism". Again, any kind of socialism not based on the concrete experience in Africa, meaning a correct and accurate understanding of how African gained Independence in the first place, coupled with knowing that alien impositions on African structures are more destructive than constructive, especially so-called African socialism and Red terror, is in fact crimes humanity, African humanity whetehr the white man bothers to inform us of this or not. We do not need any white man to teach socialism to us. As Nkrumah has clearly shown us, all of the values and principles of socialism are already present in African society and culture. Our job, our duty, is to have the common sense to preserve it and guide it away from the alien and into the modern Development of the African Nation. Abd
