Cde Seroke

Cde Jinika was a vociferous debater and a speaker. I was personally brought
into the PAC by him in the early 90's. One of his speeches which have remains
indelible in my heart was made in 1993 following the assassination of Chris
Hani. Cde Jinika openly castigated the ANC in its memorial service of Hani for
prematurely suspending armed struggle. He went on to say" today, I give you a
new slogan "COSAS by day and MK by night". The crowd was extremely enlivened by
his remarks. On that day, the PAC received more than 50 members in Daveyton.
The sad reality in this country is that other heroes, such as Jinika will end
up in oblivion. He will be highly remembered.

Jinika will be sorely missed.

His contributions in the effort to re-build the Pan Africanist Congress of
Azania are immeasurable. We could safely say he truly dedicated his time and
life in the struggle in the same terms as that of the Osagyefo, Kwame Nkrumah.

He insisted that we meet regularly once a month at the Braamfontein offices of
Comrade Sthembele Khala, to discuss and deliberate on the political conundrum
that besets the PAC - and come out with practical and honest answers. We then
held a seminar in early 2006 at Wits University, that Jinika selflessly
organised, and brought in independent academics for a robust debate, where we
agreed that the Africanists had immense potential to lead the masses in a
second phase of transformation and change. We had also identified the external
and internal pitfalls that could undermine that revolutionary process.
Regrettably, some hotheads in the same discussion group went ahead to plunge
the PAC in the disastrous road that led to a further decline.

Prince Jinika is for me an outstanding cadre in the Party. Principled,
dedicated, committed and unswerving in his loyalty to the concrete ideas of
Mangaliso Sobukwe, Kwame Nkrumah and Kwame Toure. The sad news of his sudden
passing hits home very hard. They also mean a re-awakening to his push for a
well organised and ideologically sound PAC.

Izwe lethu iAfrika.

Comrades and friends

These are heart breaking and sad news indeed.

Moafrika Prince Jinika, a humble comrade! we shall remember as we remain
inspired by his self-lessness and contributions made and for the sacrifices he
made in crafting the Pan Africanist Path particularly in the labour movement
and across the landscape of Azania. The complete cadre we lost, who will
remains irreplaceable.

Comrades

I have just received an sms message from MoAfrika Tsietsi Molebatsi and Malusi
Maqubela which reports that MoAfrika Prince Jinika has passed away. Prince was
one of the many, many valued comrades who in their youth, particularly in the
1980s and 1990s, contributed immensely to the growth of the PAC. He was a
revolutionary who carried the Pan-Africanist flag in the uniform of Azanyu, the
PAC and the Labour movement, serving in several NACTU Unions. He will forever
be remembered for his tenacious belief in Pan Africanism and his tireless
contribution to the struggle - both practically and in the shaping of ideas. To
use Fidel Castro Ruz's remark about the death of Che Guevara, one of the many
legacies of Prince, at least for some of us, is that he left us with the value
of EXAMPLE. The sms message I received states only the following details:

Memorial service:
Date: TODAY, Friday, 8 February 2013
Venue: At Home, Daveyton, Shongwe Street
Time: 4:00pm

Funeral arrangements:
Date: TOMORROW, Saturday, 9 February 2013
Venue: Daveyton - Garden Village in Daveyton, Church next to Oasis church -
opposite Lesiba Sec School
Time: Service starts at 8:00 am
