___________________________________________________________ *AFRIKAN LUNCH, Sunday 24 February, 1pm: Food for the body, mind and soul! * We start up 2013 on a fresh note with this year’s first AFRIKAN LUNCH, Sunday 24th February, 1pm, theme: “INITIATION”. You are warmly welcomed to this year’s first Afrikan Lunch – the number one event for the revival of the Afrikan Family. We open with a bang, with great food and a controversial topic: “Initiation”. Our speaker will be Mme Mmatshilo Motsei. *SUNDAY 24 FEBRUARY 1PM* The lunch will be on 24 February, 1pm, at Ebukhosini Solutions, 47 Regent Street in Yeoville (between Kenmere and Bedford Streets). See map/directions here: http://goo.gl/yecjS *FOOD* A delicious plate of healthy food is available for an affordable price (R30 per plate). Tea, juice and coffee also on sale. *THEME* Initiation has become a controversial and somewhat uncomfortable theme. As Afrikans we have long traditions of initiation as transition into womanhood, manhood, marriage, priesthood and healer roles. But how do we deal with situations where initiates complain about corruption, exploitation and being taken advantage of? How do we make sure that the initiators are doing what they are supposed to? What happens if the initiate is initiated by the uninitiated? What kind of leadership should we expect to guard initiation processes? *PRESENTER* The theme will be presented by Mme Mmatshilo Motsei. Motsei is a spiritual coach with a keen interest in integrating Indigenous Afrikan teachings in modern innovation. She integrates Afrikan healing modalities with physiology, psychology, feminism and transformative leadership practices. Motsei is also an author, and her latest book, “Time Is Upon Us” (and other titles) will be available for sale. Follow Motsei’s reflections on http://mmatshilo.com/ *THE VIBE OF EBUKHOSINI* Ebukhosini is a home/office/family-place – set up to inspire the Afrikan Family. The Afrikan Lunch is an informal, monthly, lunch-event where you can buy a plate of great food and relax in the company of interesting people. After the presentation, it also becomes a great place for networking.
