Son and Daughters of Africa

Pan Africanist Labour Forum meeting went well and the debates were
qualitative emanating from the presentations made on the Origin, Purpose and
Logic of All Africanist Labour Coordinating Committee (AALCOC) to Pan
Africanist Labour Forum (PALF). The meeting resolved to concretise the
discussions by formulating a concept document explaining the purpose and
logic of PALF, and the relationship of PALF with NACTU, COSATU, FEDUSA and
CONSAWU, and other trade unions including. PALF is a component structure of
the PAC as per 4.3.6.
Ideas advanced is that PALF should not be become a trade union nor a
federation however through PALF should influence trade unions and its
members to embrace Pan Africanism and PALF members should be active PAC
members and that as PAC we must swell the ranks of all NACTU Trade unions
and finally take control of NACTU.

One evident aspect is an observation that Pan Africanism as the party
ideology is understood differently and at times some explanations are not
only different and divergent; they are furthermore in conflict or are
contradicting the principles of Pan Africanism, therefore this realisation
led to a conclusion that party ideology is an area that must be deliberated
and workshopped, we strongly believe that Pan Africanism is not an extension
of a nationalist bourgeoisie democratic interests and aspirations nor it is
an intermediate social theoretical construction representing nationalist
bourgeoisie aspirations.

At the meeting held on Sunday the 17th February 2013, sharp ideological
debates emerged to an extent that it became evident that we should organise
a political workshop on the 10 March 2013 its topic will be Pan Africanism
and National Question, Venue Johannesburg Civic Centre in Braamfontein
Opposite Constitutional Hill, Time: 10:00-16:00. We will organise lunch
amidst financial constraints. We hope that this political workshop's debates
will clear confusion and conflicting interpretation of the 1959 Pan
Africanist Manifesto and open the space to craft a political strategy for
the party! We encourage and hope that comrades will diarise this date and
attend.

We will ha another PALF meeting around March or April 2013 whereat focus
will be on PALF concept documentation and programme of action. Comrades
across all provinces should organise themselves into regional PALF
structures and appoint regional coordinating committees which we will
communicate and liaise with us on regular basis.

This is a brief of discussions we held and we hope comrades will attend
future meetings or send representatives.

Yours in revolution.
