Subject:      Fw: 3rd Annual National Green Building Conference

This conference would be a great way for those unfamiliar with the topic to start including facility and housing design into the Cleaner Production framework and learning very practical stuff that could be promoted in developing countries.  As I have been pointing out, green building is a huge gap in the coverage of most CP promotion programs, but it is fundamentally important because of the immense downstream impacts on resource use intensity.

Hello Everyone,

The National Association of Home Builders Research Center (NAHB RC) is hosting the 3rd Annual National Green Building Conference at the Westin Seattle in Seattle, WA from March 18-20, 2001.  This conference will build upon the successes of the first two conferences.  It will provide information for the beginning green builder as well as the builder who has been building resource-efficient homes for many years. It is a national green building conference developed by the home building community....for the home building community.  Breakout sessions will offer speakers expert in the fields of energy efficiency, site design, land  planning, indoor air quality, environmental regulations, quality and durability, finance, construction waste management, and international green building initiatives, to name a few. The NAHB RC web site (http://www.nahbrc.org) has links to all the conference details.

Don't miss a chance to talk with your colleagues about the latest green building trends and to learn from the experts.  Feel free to contact Richard Dooley at the NAHB Research Center (mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]) with any questions regarding the conference.  We at the Research Center look forward to seeing you there!
