Hi Mari. There is a normalisation feature in Nero as well as a number of other filters such as hiss reduction, de-clicking, fade in, fade out stereo widening, equalisation and a couple of others.
To use the filters you need to build a compilation of tracks and then select proberties from the edit menu for each track. One of the tabs in this dialogue is a filters tab of which the first filter is the normalisation filter. It's a little cumbresome to use and I've never used it myself so can't let you know how good a job it does. There's two options for normalisation - RMS and Maximum. Probably worth you taking a look to see if you can get it to work to your satisfaction. Regards. Thanks for any help. Mari -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Kevin Lloyd Sent: Sunday, April 04, 2004 12:27 PM To: PC audio discussion list. Subject: Re: Normalizing in Nero 6.0 Hi Mari. Do you create your compilations directly from source CD's or do you tend to rip to your hard drive first? If you rip to your hard drive first, what format do you use WAV or MP3? If you use MP3, the best program I've found to get all of your music at a similar volume level is MP3GAIN which is a very easy to use piece of freeware. Regards.
