Hey there.  You might try going in to windows media player and unchecking
audio cds in file types.  You may have to have some sighted assistance, but
if you do that, your problem may go away.
I had a problem just like that, and i finally figured it out.  it was kind
of an accident.  After you do that, you might go in to your winamp file
types, and make sure that you're file associations include audio cds, and
that audio cds are selected as one of your file types.  This may or may not
help, but I'm hoping it does.
