Hi Andy,

Usually when you buy blank cds they are unformatted.  If you want cds
formatted specifically for audio you usually have to ask for them.  I think
these cds are for folk who have these stand alone cd read/writers which can
only take pre-formatted cds.

Somewhere on your menus there'll be a choice either to create a data or
audio cd, there might be a choice to create a mixed cd.  When you launch
your cd burning software, have a thorough look around the menus and mouse
around a bit.
