Sharon,

Go to the Helpful Hints section at:

http://www.jfwlite.com

There are several tutorials for Easy CD Creater including how to rip
tracks, etc. Version 6 works pretty much like version 5 so the
tutorials for that version will help you with your version 6.

These tutorials will help whether you use Jaws or Window Eyes. If you
are using Jaws, there are some free scripts at the same site in the
Program area that will help with use of the program.

Here's something to get your started though:

Make sure the cd/db option is checked so you can get track information
off the internet. I think you find that in the Tools menu under
options.

Once you put a cd in your cd-rom drive, it will get the track info.
Then tab through the fields until you find a layot window that contains
a list of the tracks on your cd. If it couldn't find the info, it will
list the tracks a 01, 02, 03, etc.

Highlight the tracks you want to rip to the hard drive in the usual
Windows manner. Then activate the menus again, I can't remember if it's
the Track or Tools menu and arrow down to convert tracks. Hit enter.
There is a hot key for this, but I can't remember it for the moment.

Once you've hit enter, a multiple choice dialogue box will come up.
Tab through the various fields and make your selections which will
include the format and bit rate at which you want to rip the tracks and
what folder you want to store the files in. After you've made your
selections, hit the , I think, save button and it will do the rest for
you. I should indicate that if you are ripping multiple tracks, the
file name will say something like naming files separately or something
like that instead of giving you the name of each file.

Hope this helps. Good luck. Feel free to ask more questions, on list
or directly.

Clifford
