Hi Raul, I had a similar problem when trying to convert audible files. I've done them individually, but couldn't do them as a batch. I'm using an nvidia card, but it didn't even occur to me that that might be causing the problem. I've got the same amount of memory, at least the same hard disk space, but an AMD 2400 processor.
I tried to reduce silences to default, and then convert to .ogg, and I don't know where it finished, as I went to bed. When I got up, goldwave was closed!. Next I maximized a few of the files one at a time from GW's main window and it worked. So now I'm using batch mode to just maximize the files. So far the computer has not locked up. I figure that if this works I can then try to encode them using batch. I'm wondering if somehow having the batch process do two things to each file may be causing the problem but I don't see why. My system is an amd3200 with 512 mb of ddr400mhz ram and a 60 gb hdd sp space and memory is not an issue. Any thoughts? - -- Raul A.
