I think the point is that it's not specifically related to audio, and it's an area which has strayed fromm initial discussion of audio. I personally think it's a bit heavy, I got a similar reprimand some time ago, which is why I left the list a year or so ago. However Jeff's the list moderator, and therefore we have to play by the rules or get off the list I guess!.
