Basically though you can set Sound Forge 7.0 to start recording and stop at preset times or at preset audio thresholds. Together with the audio threshold trigger or when using manual start recording and stop you can set Sound Forge 7.0 to record for a specific amount of time before and after the threshold requirement is met. This is handy for me when recording wildlife. If I hear a bird start singing and I start recording after I've been made aware of it then I can be guaranteed that I have captured the whole thing.
