That is correct, in terms of current products. However, while obsolete, the earlier CEP versions still work quite satisfactorily for many people from what I hear. Both versions 2.0 and 2.1 are readily available on e-bay and perhaps from software liquidators or remainder houses.

I am relatively sure that for my needs, probably any version of CEP is sufficient and suitable, and may be available more cheaply than Audition. But I am curious about version differences, nonetheless, and that is why I was asking any who are familiar with both CEP 2.0 and 2.1 if they know what the differences are. (I am pretty sure that version 2.1 was the last upgrade before Adobe bought Syntrillium. Not sure, though, if when Adobe re-branded CEP they added or deleted capability -- or whatever! For all I know, they could have rewritten it completely by now.)

Thanks,
Kevin
