Thanks much for your response.  Having never installed drivers before, this
is out of my depth.  Guess I have to decide whether to enlist the help of my
techie son for this great adventure or leave well enough alone until I can
upgrade.  This PC is about four years old and works pretty well in spite of
heavy use, but I can't afford to be computerless if I screw this up, you
know the dilemma.  I get the impression TR works better out of the box with
XP, we'll see when the time comes.  Ideally, I'd like to upgrade in about
six months and can recycle this PC to my daughter, whose system is in worse
shape than mine because of the junk she puts on it.  As I said, this is not
an urgent problem, but probably could become one if I mess it up.  There's
also a local shop that could no doubt do this easily and reasonably--it's
just a question of priorities--we need a new printer as well, that isn't
working at all.  Oh well, always something.
