Hi,

I have it working with a netgear router. You specify 8000 as the starting
port and 8001 as the ending port.

Subject: using shoutcast behind a router

Has anyone had any success with this, using a router with the shoutcast server to broadcast? Jonathan Mosen says it can be done, but that ports 8000 and 8001 must be opened, but I need some clarification on some things. Do I open, for example port 8000 and make it the starting and ending port, and do the same with 8001, or do I just open, and use 8000 as starting and 8001 as ending? I have a cable connection and a net gear router, and am using dns to go on a trial basis as my domaine server. Thanks in advance for any help.

Shane
