The best portable speakers for speech in my opinion are the CreativeLabs
TravelSound. The new version called TravelSound 200, which I do not know
has a built-in normalizer. They're cheaper than the older ones, because
a power adapter isn't supplied anymore. However, they do have a socket
for that an one can buy an AC adapter as an accessory. They can also be
used with four AA batteries.
