Hi Sunsparkle, Larry and anyone who is interested in this topic.

To split a single file which contains multiple tracks into individual files
using Goldwave.

1. Open the file you wish to split and if necessary, save it immediately as
a WAV file.

2. Press F4 to start listening to the file.

3. When you have reached the point were you wish to split, press F7 to
pause, then do a Control Q, to drop a q point at that point.

NOTE: If you overshoot the point were you wish to cut, press F5 to rewind
back.

NOTE. If you wish to slow down the speed of rewind, do the following.

1. Press F11 and TAB until you hear "Fast/Rewind Speed, Rewind. This will
be followed by numbers. Change these temporary to 0.10. This will
significantly slow down the rewind speed. Press OK.

Continue dropping q points until you have reached the end of the file.

4. Press AltE F and arrow up once to Q Points and press Enter. Select Split
File from the list of options.

5. You will be prompted for a location to send the individual files to, so
complete this and press Enter.

All you need do now if necessary is convert the files back to mp3
individually by opening each file and changing the Save As option.
Alternatively, there is a Batch process in Goldwave which can convert whole
directories of files from one format to another. If anyone would like to
know how to do this, please let me know.

Good luck and get back if you run into difficulties.

Best wishes.
Andy from sunny Kilcreggan
