Hi. You can record Audio, video, or both to the HD. I generally use a standard audio recording program to record audio, and a program like Snapstream's Beyond TV http://www.snapstream.net To record both audio and video. I don't know about shutting down after recording. Why not just use the task scheduler, or some other scheduling package, to schedule a shutdown? If you mean stopping the recording at a preset time, many audio recorders offer this. Snapstream can also start and stop recording audio and video at a certain time. Aman
