I put the ajbrec.ajz and .archos. on to the unit via the usb. Not the name of the file you mentioned.

If buy... is it recognized buy the computer, do you mean does the win xp sound for new device connected accur, then yes I get that sound both ascending for being connected and immediately the descending tone for device removed. This seems as though it would continue
ad-nauseam.
Even when the archus is not connected to the computer the boot process aborts and the unit shuts off.
I have just installed new rechargeable batteries and charged them before copying the aforementioned files to the archus.
Any other ideas and help is greatly appreciated. I will try recharging and see also.
