Hi, Doug, after going into the volume control, you have to press alt p for properties, press enter, then check the radio button that says adjust volume for playback, then tab to the list of things, and if you want your mic to show in playback, just check that item with the space bar, and press the okay button, and then when you open up your volume control, when you tab, you'll see it there.
