The following are my personal opinions. The best way to come to a conclusion is to check it out yourself.
1. I find that Vorbis is a considerably better format. The file size to quality ratio is considerably more favorable. The fact that Vorbis is open source works very much in its favor. As I understand it, were there the tools to do it, a Vorbis file could be much more manipulable than an MP3 file.


2. What works in MP3's favor is that everyone's using it. Forbis has never caught on in the mainstream, despite all the predictions that it would. It's the VHS versus Beta thing. If Vorbis ever does catch on in the mainstream, I will be surprised. Some portable units support vorbis, but these are few and far between.
