Subject: CDs not playing on PC

On some of my music CDs, some old, some new, when I put them in my D drive, won't even load and run. I hear the same sound as a blank CD. At first, I thought it was some copyright kind of thing, but they won't even start spinning. I tried all my players, and tried to find the CD using Windows Explorer, no luck. These CDs, however, will play on a regular audio CD player. Any ideas? thank you
