DJC,
I find the instructions for using Total Recorder a little difficult to understand. I admit that I am a novice, at using it, but, I have had some experience with it. Since you have not looked at their on line help, all I can say is that it skips around and does not get to the point, which is to tell someone how to use the program to record streams, off the net, to record records, from a turntable to the hard drive, to record cassettes to the hard drive, etc.. I am in the process of reading the full blown tutorial and, when I digest that, maybe I will have a better idea of what is going on. I have been blind for only about 4 years, so I am a little frustrated by some of the ways in which these instructions are written, because they don't often get to the point, nor do they set things out in an order that helps me to visualize what is going on. Perhaps you have been using Total Recorder for awhile, but I have not. I am not, by any means, whining here; just looking for a way to get to the nuts and bolts of the program, which, if you listen to the on line help, or the tutorial help, is not gotten to, for quite a ways into it. I am not trying to say that the Main Menu description is not good, either, but it is not very good. Patience being the virtue that it is, leads me to believe that someone out here has the answer; is it you?
Thanks,
Mac Norins

If you could Please explain what help you need perhaps we can help you?
What is total recorder doing or not doing? It works fine here. What version
of the program are you using? I've never looked at their help system but
what is the problem your having with that?

Marty,
Thanks for that, but, as luck would have it, I already have that one and it was not all that helpful; seemed like the gentleman was stumbling around a
lot, although I am not one to criticize people who are just trying to help! If you find the other one, let me know, OK?
Thanks,
Mac Norins

Hi, Mac, get Monty Icenogle's tutorial on total recorder from http://www.acbradio.org/archives/mainmenu/mm0883.mp3 it is about an hour long, and there's also one up there for total recorder professional, that I can't recall the file number of. On Mon, 22 Nov 2004 10:04:06 -0800, Mac Norins wrote:

Hello, Listers,
I am looking for an "aftermarket" tutorial for Total Recorder. I have some trouble using the on line help section, but I can do it. Just wondered if there was anything out there that I haven't been able to Google, as I am not too good at that, either. I'm a rank novice, I'm afraid! If anyone has an idea of this, they can write me, off list,[EMAIL PROTECTED] .
Thanks,
Mac Norins
