Angel! Your microphone is probably OK for most things you'll want to
do but you do have to go into the Recording Properties of the Sound Card and
be sure that the 20 DB Microphone boost is on.
Try this:
! windows-r
! Type "sndvol32 /r", mind the space between 32 and /r
! Tab until you find the Button for Advanced Properties of the Microphone
and click it
! Tab through and be sure that the 20 DB boost is checked
