Subject: Dampening Bass on New Speakers

I just purchased a new set of speakers for my computer. The bass is rather
stronger than what I'm used to. I have a Sound Blaster Live card. I know
that in the old DOS days you had bass and treble options as well as volume
and balance, but in the Windows volume control I just see volume and
balance. Is there a way to adjust bass and treble as well?
