Best way is to use a backup program like dvd shrink.  Only thing with 
that is if you back the whole dvd you stand a chance of losing quality 
because it has to compress everything.  DVD Shrink allows you to choose 
to backup just the movie and you can pick which audio streams.  This in 
a way is good for blind people because by getting rid of the menus you 
can play your dvd movie from the backup and not worry about complex 
menus in case they are complex in any case.
