Hi all.
I am soon to return to work and require a sound recorder for recording interviews. - I may wish to record lectures so am looking for a recorder which can pick up a large area as well as speech within a small living room.
I want as high a quality of sound recording as I can afford.
I need to understand the device tactually, - For example, the Sony MZ B100 has large buttons. - This makes playing, pausing and rewinding easier for a tactile dependant user.
I'd like a u.s.b connection to enable me to transfer the audio file to my computer quickly. I'd rather avoid the line-in method of transferring data as this is time consuming.
The device must be small enough to fit in my pocket. - Attending meetings with a reel-to-reel sized device just inhibits people and I've got to carry it around.
So, I'm currently considering the Sony MZ B100, but this does not have a usb connection.
I know that there are mp3 players/recorders on the market which may meet my needs, as well as Minidisk recorders. However, all of this equipment is very expensive. For example, the Sony MZ B100 is 239.00 over here in the UK, so I need to know which will meet most of my needs before paying out this sort of cash.
Thanks in advance for any advice offered. I'd particularly welcome advice from other blind workers who record interviews and manage these on their computers.
Very best wishes
Andy from sunny Kilcreggan.
