You first need to go to Recording Source and Parameters, which is the first screen to open in the TR menu, and be sure that recording from software is checked. Then within your volume control under properties you will see controls for play or record. Under the recording properties you can only have one item checked. The one you want is called What You Hear on the Soundblaster Live card but may be called Mixer or something else with other sound cards. If you tab through the dialog, though, itt will be the last one you come to. Assuming that all the tabs are set correctly within the Total Recorder dialog, you should not need to go into multimedia or mixer to do this. Hope this makes sense.
