Hi Azar,

I hesitate to accept the moniker of expert since an ex is a has been and a spert is a drip under pressure, but, to separate a long mp3 into to files, load the file into sound forge, go to where you want the split to occur, press enter there to pause, press either shift control home or end, depending on whether you'd like to put the first or second part into a separate file, press cntrol x to cut the selection into the clip board, press control n to open a new file, press enter to accept the parameters of sterio/mono, bit rate, etc, and finally press control v to paste from the clip board into your new file, then do a save as and name your new file. You can then control tab between the two open files.

The joining of files can be accomplished by loading both files into sf, selecting the entire file you'd like to add, cutting or copying it into the clipboard, go to the end of the beginning file, and pasting the selection there, at the end o the other one. Practice with the little ditties that come in the sf program folder and you'll get the hang of it.

Hope this helps a wee little bit,
Rusty
