Melliny do the following when in Gold wave do control n for a new sound and then choose the quality of the recording i usely go for cd quality and then go to ok and enter. if you want to also go and press f 11 and control tab to the recording tab and tab over to the radio buttons that talk about the lenght of the recording make sure it is not bound to slection that should do the trick if you need anymore help please feel free to email me off list.
