Intresting. For me it didn't pop up the time I ran Winamp after receiving
the update announcement. Sorry for the incorrect info and glad you found the
way to disable the annoyance.

No harm at all. That's Winamp's home and they're offering the same
program. I've downloaded from there before without incident. WhiteStick
is an excellent source for accessible programs and one of them happens to
be
Winamp. One feature of your Winamp software is that it let's you know
when an update is out there for you to download. If you choose not to
download you can just press the no button and the nag screen goes away.
I'm not certain, but I don't think it comes back.
It *does* come back, each time you re-start the program. If you want it to
go away for good, you have to disable the feature, in the General
Preferences menu.
