Hi Gary. In answer to your question on getting a set of tracks to play in a particular sequence when creating an MP3 disc, the best way to do this is to edit the file names so that they are all prefixed to play in sequence. For example, prefix 001, 002, 003, etc.
This is of course very tedious. I did manage to do this using a playlist in nero but found that many players couldn't handle the playlist file and just played the tracks in alphabetic / numeric sequence. The CD's did play in the playlist sequence when placed in a computer though so I'll tell you what I did in the hope that it might be of some limited use to you. 1. Create your playlist in winamp or your preferred player and save as an M3U file prefixed 001 or something similar so that it is the first file burned to your CD. 2. Create a compilation in nero. 3. Add the playlist file and all of the tracks in that playlist to your compilation. Be sure that you save the folders in which the tracks reside otherwise the playlist won't find them on your resulting CD. Alternatively, open the M3U playlist in notepad and edit out the folder names. 4. Burn the CD. In answer to your last question on the dodgy MP3 track, sounds like there are jitter errors in the file that your player can't handle. Regards. I want mp3s played in a particular order. I could make a playlist and have the names in the order I want. Could I just copy the files to the tree in the order I want? If so, how? 2. Using Nero 6 and WE 4.54. I can open the tree view and open the particular drive, and navigate to the folder, but I can't find the songs I want in a folder. Any suggestions? 3. I have a cd with a particular song. The song plays fine as an .MP3 on the computer from the hard drive, and the song plays fine when I play the cd in the computer. When I put it in the boombox, the song has sharp clicks and other types of effects. This has happened twice with different cds and the same song. It's the only mp3 player I have, so I can't tell if it's this particular player. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance as always. _______________________________________________ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
