Houdy Brent,

Absolutely, get rid of that OEM version first and if you can swing it grab 
the ultra upgrade package. You may also want to grab the file encoder and 
the w m a plug ins as well.  Once you've installed everything, you'll be 
able to rip, burn, and encode  cd's; burn and copy any type of dvd's you 
want without a hitch and more. When I got the same error that you were 
talking about, I remembered just exactly why I hate OEM versions of 
products. They're kind of like trying to enjoy drinking flat beer at a 
cookout!  LOL!
