I use mplayer, which is another multiplatform project. I like its command line interface. With it, I can start streaming radio stations with batch files. I've installed the Windows standard codecs and can play RealAudio, Windows media, MP3 and a couple of other formats. I often use the player with my DOS Braille display driver under Windows ME, because JAWS isn't so good when it comes to console mode programs. Here's an example batch file, which plays the BBC Radio 4 stream: mplayer rtsp://rmlivev8.bbc.net.uk/farm/*/ev7/live24/radio4/live/r4_dsat_g2.ra <*** Michael Lang ***> _______________________________________________ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
