I beg your pardon. Could you either explain or direct me to an explanation of how to make these lossless files? Also, what's the size relative to a 128 mp3 file, any ideas? Thanks.

When I play them back through my Linn system, there's no lack of upper or higher frequencies and the result is truly CD quality. As I said, playing music on a computer or portable device or even on an audio system that isn't quite hi-fi does yield good results with MP3 but with a more discerning high end hi-fi system you're not going to want to sacrifice those frequency extremes and depth of soundstage and imaging.
