Hi. TotalRecorder seems to be a program that works for many very well and
fails miserably for some. As Russell said, you can always use the
soundboard option for all your recordings, but by doing so you lose the
advantage the program offers of making digital recordings, and also letting
you use a screen reader with software synthesis in many cases while the
recording is under way without capturing the screen reader sound. For
Joann, you can certainly use the software option to capture Winamp library
streams, but you would do well to start TotalRecorder first, then launch
the stream. If things are working properly, You won't capture any screen
reader speech while you're launching the stream.
