Hi Dana,

Well, that's news. Sorry for publishing in correct
information. I am a subscriber to xm radio. I bought one of the
last xmpcr receivers available. I love it because it shows on the pc
title bar that artist and song. It also has many many talk and news
stations, college football, nhl hockey, major league baseball,
weather and traffic info for thirty or so major metropolitan areas,
comedy and exclusive musical content with artists performing live in
their studios. If you use total recorder or some such program, you
can get really good music content and sports broadcasts, recorded to
your hard drive. The online service is just a bonus. There they
have all of the music, the bob edwards show, and special
performances, but no baseball etc. The player online has its own
volume control, so can be controlled independently from other screen
reading and system sounds. I didn't know about the winamp thing, but
I suspect that America online pays them a pretty penny.

Well, thanks for setting me straight. Btw, you can get just
the online part of xm radio without having to have radio equipment,
much more cheaply than aol costs.
