Here's what I recall from a recent conversation with a vendor:

1. ptr2 is a bit larger than ptr1, with the controls somewhat more
recessed.

2. It now has a stereo mic input; the internal mic is still mono.

3. Guide speech volume and playback volume no longer operate separately.


4. When ptr2 is connected to pc, both the CD and the flash card are
accessible to the computer.

5. Only type 1 flash cards are now supported.

6. There are two modes of operation. 1 is a basic record an playback
mode which has no fancy editing features. 2 is the usual features we are
accustom to on ptr1.
