Dear PC-listers, I'm not yet sure what the category of problem is, so I'll give you the symptoms. As a couple of days ago, my computer speakers have developed slightly more hiss than is normal. More annoyingly, the volume of my Winamp and WMP media has gone way down. I think my Eloquence volume is lower, too, but it's hard to tell. Along with the overall lowering of volume has come a slight background hiss. Anyone have any suggestions to pin this down or fix it? I have a Creative Sound Blaster sound card.
