Yes, the numbers I press are on the remote which is very easy to use, the numbers on this player are smaller buttons than the play, pause, and stop buttons. To my knowledge all keypads are only available on remotes instead of the actual player. As I mentioned in my original message the player I have for both bedroom and living room is a Sony.
