Hi.
I like the WinTV PCI cards from Hauppauge
        http://www.haupauge.com
Their software is quite accessible, their cards aren't at all bad or
badly priced, and they'll do what you want.

Subject: Recording my VHS tapes to DVD

For the new year, I want to get all of my audio-described VHS movies to
files on my PC which will work in my DVD drive. (Or a stand-alone DVD, but I
don't have one of those.)
What I have is Nero 6 on the PC, which I believe does record DVD's once the
files are on the PC, and a DVDRW drive. And there might be some inaccessible
DVD software on here, not sure.

I have a VCR which I can hook to the PC with proper cabling. Is there an
accessible TVTuner card, or other card, that I can use? I'm wondering if
there's a piece of software with at least an accessible start button so that
I can set everything up and get it going?
Thanks.

Ann
