Hi All. After hearing about it on the JFW list, I went ahead and decided to try AresP2P. The first time I tried it, it froze my computer completely, but that's besides the point...Last night, I installed it and got it working, found some files and downloaded them. My question is, with this program, how do I set it to share MY files with other users? I used to use WinMX, and with that, it was easy...Under the Options, you selected the folders you wanted shared, and you're done. This program didn't appear to have anything under preferences or anything. I went to the "Library" tab, and I THINK I added my "My Music" and "MP3" folders, but I'm not sure if that's all it takes to share the files.
Can anyone who's used or is using this program let me know what I need to do? I seem to have figured everything else in the program out. If it helps, I'm running WinXP, SP2 with JAWS 5.10. Also, has anyone upgraded to the Pro version? I'm tempted to do it just to get rid of the annoying pop-up asking me to upgrade, but I can't see, other than getting rid of the pop-up, what advantages it has...Does it speed up your downloads, give you more search results?
