Hi guys,
I've got an interesting problem. How can you tell if a cd is scratched or
if a glitch is caused by the tape master that was used to make the cd? For
example the tape master that was used for the Phil Collins cd No Jacket
Required has several problems with it. On the song One More Night, on the last
verse, there's a little bit of tape drop out on one of the channels through
that final verse. They actually went back on his new love songs collection and
went to the 2 inch multi track tape to get a better sounding mix. On the song
Inside Out, there's a pop on the tape between one of the drum fills between the
verse and chorus.
I know these 2 examples are caused by the tape master, because I've heard
the same glitches on the radio.
The cd Chicago 18, at the end of Will You Still Love me, there's a slight
glitch near the end. Is there a way to tell for sure if it's the album tape
master or my copy without buying a new cd? Thanks.
Denny
