Obviously Winamp can't play without the source. I think this person thought he could rip the cd through winamp by simply copying as he would from any data disk. I think it's just a case of not quite comprehending the difference. Must be a beginner thing. I hate to admit it, but I'm sure I've come to a few of these erroneous conclusions myself especially in my novice years, but pride will not let me publicly recall them all <g>.
