Hello Denny,

There is a really neat little program called Advanced Recorder.  It is a 
so-called Beta version and is therefore free!  It is very basic, easy to 
use and only records/saves files in WAV format.  In the four or so years 
that I have been using it I just cannot fault it.   I use it with Windows 
98 SE, but am assured by a friend that it works well with XP home.  For
