I can only share my experience as a former Total Recorder devotee. I largely use a laptop these days, and the total Recorder driver did once interfere with my primary sound driver, so that didn't endear me to the program. If Replay A/V hadn't come along, I would still be using total Recorder. Now that I use it, I haven't used total Recorder since. Replay A/V does what it did and does it better, because now when I want to record a RealAudio stream, my regular computer operation is not bothered in any way, and I end up with an mp3 file. With TR,k that wouldn't have happened. So in your place, Peter, I would uninstall the driver.
